In an effort to get more racing. It has been decided that we start a little earlier than we are currently.

As from February 3rd 2012:

Hall officially open 7.00pm
Layout track, Practice closes 7.30pm
Booking-in Closes 7.30pm
Drivers briefing between 7.30-7.45pm
Racing starts at 7.45pm

For any members that will be late, we have a club mobile available, number to be confirmed.

Autumn/Winter league Attendance Karting Draw! · 138 days ago by Ross McAllister

To encourage regular attendance on Club nights there will be an attendance draw. for each club member who enters more than half the league events up to the Christmas Meeting they will be entered free, for each attendance your name will go into the draw. There be two catagories, Junior 8 – 14 year olds and Senior 14 years and over. The draw will be held on the Christmas Party Night in December. More events entered gives more change of a winning ticket.
The winner will receive a gift voucher for AKS Karting (indoor) at Norton near Junction 7 of M5, the Junior will be for 40 laps and Senior 50 laps.

WMCC would like to thank Neil Tomkins for donating these prizes.

Due to a lack of interest in the Pro-Stock Touring class 10.5, this has now been removed from the Matthew Jones race. In its place there will be:

• Touring 13.5 – Zero timing (aka as ‘Blinky’)

• Touring 17.5

  This has now been added to the online entry. If you have already booked in to the Stock Touring 13.5 class and wish to change, just resend the online entry.

  As you may of noticed, the school hall is not available for quite a few weeks. Considering this and the impact on the Spring/Summer Championship, we have decided it was about time we ran the WMCC Relay Endurance Race Again!

  Racer’s wishing to enter must do so either on or before Friday 6th May. Please ensure your Crystal Information is upto date.
  The Easiest way to enter is to fill your details below. The race fee will be as normal.

  There are a few rules:

  • All normal WMCC Rules Apply.
  • The Race Will last for 2 Hours.
  • Each driver will have to drive at least once.
  • Any car adjustments have to be made in the pit lane or pits.
  • Drivers will race their own cars during the Race.
  • Teams will consist of upto 4 Drivers, This will consist of a driver from each ability/Class. F1, F2 and Mini. This will be drawn by Race Control the week before the Race.
  • Team members will have to marshal their own team’s cars during the races, also pit stops will have to be performed by team members or pitmen.
  • Transponders can either be a single Club Handout or a single Personal Transponder. This Must be passed between cars in Pit-stops.

    Due to a Dance Competition, The Easter Holidays & Exams, The club will NOT being racing on the following dates:

    New Year, New Format! · 398 days ago by Ross McAllister

    As agreed at the AGM in December, the club will be making a few changes for 2011.

    New Racing Format

    The club will run a new racing format in 2011. This will give more racing on a night and mix up the championship results.
    We will now be running:

    • 2-Rounds of Qualifying
    • 2 Rounds of Finals
    Each round of the final will give a result to the championship, meaning of you crash out of the first race, all is not lost and you can get a good points haul in the next final.

    Single Touring Car Class

    As the cars get increasingly faster, cars at WMCC Club Events will now be restricted to a maximum motr of 13.5t (27t Brushed). This means you can still run the sucessfull 17.5 motors but without being in a seperate class.

    Prizes for every League of the Year!

    Prizes will now be given out at the end of every league. There will be 4 leagues a year as before.

    THE SHOOTOUT

    • 4×4 minute races.
    • The only split will be Jnr and Snrs. Meaning some big grids!(Where Possible)
    • Reverse championship positions will make up the first grid. Reversed results from the preceding race make up subsequent grids. (1st in race 1 then starts race 2 in last position etc.)
    • Scoring… 1st = 1pt, 2nd = 2pt, 3rd = 3 pt etc. Least number of points after 4 races wins.
    • Tie-break fastest valid lap (no jumping the barrier!)
    • Remember its supposed to be a fun event!

      Other activates on the night include…

    • League prize giving.
    • Pizza and pop
    • Helicopter sim
    • X-box games (provisional)
    • Prizes for the best dressed car

      Hi All, As reported in the news this week, Nunnery Wodd High School has been closed to sudents due to Swine Flu, Apart from pupils taking Exams & Staff.

      We have confirmed with the Caretaker that the school is still open for racing on Friday!

      Transponder Yellow 1 has been missing for some weeks now, and mysterously appeared this week. This has been followed by Yellow 4 disappearing this week!
      Before you leave racing, Could you PLEASE check your Cars, Tool boxes, Pit Boxes and anywhere else you can think of.
      These units are £120 each! So would appreciate its return.
      If you find it please email me

      If people cannot remember to bring these back, we will have to enforce clocking in and out of tranponders.

      As you can see from the picture below, the new carpet has arrived! (Thanks Nick). This should give use some more racing area, and make our track a little larger.
      Please make sure all cars are free from sticking our screws, broken bumpers etc. that could damage the carpet, as this has has cost over £500, and we want to keep it in good condition.
